about Danny
Paleontologist Danny Anduza has been excavating and studying dinosaurs for over a decade. Based in the SF Bay Area, with years of experience in research and fieldwork, paleontology is his greatest passion. From the crowded streets of San Francisco to the remote badlands of Montana, his study of fossils informs the way he sees everything — and he’s excited to share that perspective with the world.
As a fossil scientist, Danny’s research focuses primarily on broad-level functional morphology of dinosaurs, often through comparisons with living animals. By figuring out how today’s creatures use their interesting anatomical features, he uncovers clues about how dinosaurs acquired food, avoided predators, and interacted with their world.
Through his work as a teacher, Danny has worked to inspire a passion for science in kids and adults alike — and now he’s carried that mission to the livestreaming platform Twitch, where he broadcasts on weekdays (and sometimes weekends, too!). Tune in to a stream for LIVE dinosaur excavations, fossil science news, audience Q&A, and much more.
